hi everyone. i'm extremely interested in holy cross and i would love to go there. the only problem is that i'm not sure just HOW selective it is, because i've heard a lot of different things from a lot of different people. i know that you all arent admissions officers, but i am just wondering if you have a general dea of how presitigious the average HC student is. for example, my grades are pretty good, they range from B+ to A...but i've never taken an AP class. i am, however, a dancer and a volleyball player and i've done some community service stuff. will the fact that i haven't taken the absolute hardest courses available in my school put me at a disadvantage? is that one of the big things that holy cross looks for in its applicants? thanks for any help that you guys can give!!

Does anyone know if we are actually tested on our Summer Reading books? Because I plan to read "A Vanished World," but it would be helpful to know that I did not have to "study" for it :). Thank you!

So freshmen, rooming assignments will probably be sent out soon. I assume they haven't come yet, right?

Here's a hint: Check on STAR. Go to the Web Services page, and you'll see the link for STAR. This is the same place you register for classes. They also have housing info up there, and chances are it will be there before you get the letter in the mail. I was able to find out a few days beforehand.

They have also added the class of 2009 to the Phone and Email lookup, but no housing info there (nor have other classes changed). Still, it's a sign that it's coming.

::sigh:: I'm such a dork for knowing all this

Helloooo kids. I've been on LJ forever... I was not aware that this community was up and running, it was definitely pretty dead before. How's everybody?
